‘A’ listers come together to bring some Serious Fun into our homes in aid of Paul Newman’s incredible children’s charity.
This Sunday 18th October, stars from around the world will be gathering virtually to support children living with serious illness. This special virtual event will be streamed into our homes and provide us all with some light relief from lockdown.
Join Helen Mirren, Sting, Mark Hammill, Michael Sheen, Renée Zellweger, Sam Heughan, Rupert Friend and many more for Serious Fun For All, a totally free virtual event aimed at raising awareness and support for Serious Fun’s camps and programmes around the world. This virtual gala will feature sketches, musical performances and surprise acts from the star-studded line-up as well as some super talented Serious Fun campers themselves.
Serious Fun Children’s Network was created by the Hollywood legend Paul Newman to provide free of charge camps to children living with serious illnesses. It now has a global community of 30 camps and programmes serving the children and their families and has delivered more than 1.3 million life-changing experiences to families around the word.
“SeriousFun Children’s Network is founded on the principles of inclusion, community, friendship, respect, and hope, and we want to bring those to life for everyone who joins this event. During this challenging time, our campers needed their camp experience and the connectivity it offers more than ever and we were proud to continue doing that through virtual programs,” said Clea Newman, SeriousFun Ambassador and Paul Newman’s daughter. “While this event is free for all to participate, it’s important in helping us raise awareness and support for our programs so we can continue to deliver on our mission at no cost to campers and their families, just as my father intended.”
So grab your popcorn and get comfy on the sofa on Sunday and watch this incredible hour-long, family friendly, inspiring extravaganza.
