School’s out for summer and to celebrate our collaboration with CBBC, there’s a special treat just for Parentfolk followers who can take advantage of a buy-one-get-one-free ticket offer for CBBC’s Summer Social, the UK’s biggest festival for kids (who can bring their grown ups!)

Taking place across this weekend (August 3rd -5th) at Croxteth Country Park in Liverpool, each day is full of performances, workshops, activities and all your CBBC and CBeebies favourites!

Boogie at the three stages packed with international music stars, dance acts and authors including Johnny Orlando, Mackenzie Ziegler, Sophia Grace and New Hope Club. Or for younger fans, throw some shapes at the Go Jetters and Hey Duggee discos!

Wander through the CBeebies Village with magical activities for little ones and familiar faces from the CBeebies House, including Mr Tumble, Cook and Line and some extra special surprise readers in our Bedtime Stories planetarium.

Visit the adorable animals at Croxteth Park Farm including pigs, sheep and cows or journey through an enchanted maze in the Clangers’ Garden and discover a real hidden treasure!

And for all you Doctor Who fans, news just in that English TV writer Chris Chibnall, who replaces Steven Moffat at the helm of the iconic sci-fi show will appear at the festival on Sunday for a special stage Q&A with exclusive clips from the new season.

All this plus sporting activities led by Liverpool Football Club Foundation and Everton in the Community; amazing performances from Opera North, Northern Ballet and the BBC Philharmonic orchestra; and the Awesome Authors will be on hand to talk stories, inspiration and writing.

Inside Croxteth Hall you can sit the Cackles Academy entrance exam for a magical Worst Witch experience, or take the Horrible Histories Tour and discover how the Vile Victorians influenced Croxteth Hall and the surrounding area.

CBBC will be filming all weekend too with Yasmin and Jonny from Saturday Mash Up! creating their own special brand of mayhem.
