A spectacular weekend as thousands rock up for ParentFolk+ the family at the farm.
Last weekend, thousands donned their wellies and headed to Claremont Farm for the spectacular ‘ParentFolk and the family at the Farm’.
Muddy fields, brilliant beats, indie brands, street foods, craft beer, all the gin, activity pop ups a plenty, yoga, storytelling, disco and welly walking made the eventful weekend a great success with over 3000 rocking up to party at this unique family social event.
Families turned out in force, despite the torrential showers on day one of the event, bringing a real muddy festival vibe. Drinks in hand, ParentFolk danced to old school classics from a variety of sessions as a lineup of DJ Dads took to the Decks. Littlefolk enjoyed face art, neon pamper bar, forest school crafts, toddler sessions, baby sensory and even yoga.
Day two was welcomed with blue skies and sunshine overhead as the farm came alive again this time with live music sessions in the tipi, followed by a more chilled vibe of sessions by a line-up of DJ’s.
Families feasted on delicious eats from vendors including Vietnom Liverpool, Little Rasco, Burger Joes, Forza Pizza, Big Dub Of Love and Lovage & Rosemary, whilst Blacklodge Brewery and The Gin Joint kept the drinks flowing.
The Silent Disco welly walks seemed to be a highlight of the weekend for many, whilst others enjoyed the extensive line up of activities and workshops which included Fashion design, crazy slime and tribal print arts. Families were entertained around the farm by storyteller Gav Cross, who popped up with his narrative of alternative fairy tales.
Sponsor of the Kidfolk area, Birkenhead School, teamed up with ParentFolk for the first time. Karen Alcock, Marketing Manager for Birkenhead School said, “We had a wonderful time at ParentFolk at the farm. We loved the unique atmosphere of the event, there was such an upbeat energy across the weekend, even the rain didn’t stop families turning out in their thousands.
Unlike many events, there was a real considered creativity to this family event, ParentFolk really know their audience and as a result the event was really well attended, giving us as a school the opportunity to engage with families and in a relaxed and vibrant setting. We can’t wait to team up with ParentFolk again in future.”
Next date in the diary sees ParentFolk team up with Chester Polo Club for ParentFolk+ the Family at the Polo. This new collaboration is set to bring a festival feel to the Polo on the finals day of the White Oak UK Polo Series Saturday 22 June.
Enjoy the buzz of a matchday on the Roodee, the home of Chester Polo Club and take in the passion of play whilst watching the oldest and most exhilarating team sport, pitch-side. The thrilling action and the lively atmosphere make for the perfect opportunity to gather family & friends. Team this with ParentFolk family fun and it really does create the event for families at the start of the summer.
In-between chukkas, parents are invited to get down to the beats of ParentFolk’s resident DJ within the Laurent-Perrier Champagne garden, whilst little folk enjoy their own afternoon line up of activities including cool arts & crafts, make your own pony, face art, toddler play space, kids pamper bar, pitch invasion and more. ParentFolk have also teamed up with Harvey Nichols Manchester and Marc Jacobs Beauty to bring a very special beauty pop up too – so it’s not just the littlefolk who’ll be having all the fun!
