Panoramic34 celebrates Afternoon Tea Week
This week Britain celebrates Afternoon Tea Week (14-18th August). One of the UK’s greatest pleasures, originally created for Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, who is said to have complained of “having that sinking feeling” during the late afternoon. At that time it was usual for people to take only two main meals a day, breakfast, and dinner around 8 o’clock in the evening. The solution for the Duchess was a pot of tea and a light snack taken privately during the afternoon.
Fast forward to 2017 and afternoon tea has had a complete resurgence in recent years. It is very much back in fashion and award winning Liverpool restaurant, Panoramic34, says their afternoon tea packages are as popular as ever.
Since January this year they’ve served up an incredible 14823 afternoon tea’s from their menu, with their delectable Luxury Afternoon Tea proving the most popular having been ordered almost 9,065 times!
But Afternoon tea isn’t just for grownups. Children love their Children’s afternoon tea too, perhaps it’s the handmade cookie dough brownie and chocolate eclairs that capture the hearts of their younger guests. It’s certainly a fun afternoon that makes for a memorable summer holidays treat.
Afternoon Tea at Panoramic34 is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. Relax over afternoon tea served in the cocktail lounge or enjoy their luxury afternoon tea served in the either the cocktail lounge or restaurant. Take in the iconic Liverpool sights and skyline and savour over delicious handmade cakes and pastries, such as their Pistachio and Strawberry Slice, Green Tea & Yuzu Macaron and Red Velvet & Blackberry Marquise, enjoyed with a glass of Perrier Jouet Champagne.
