Information Announcement Regarding White Oak Polo Series at Chester Racecourse – Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June
It seems the weather has finally caught up with us. After heavy rainfall over the last couple of weeks, it’s with an equally heavy heart that we must share the following announcement from Chester Racecourse regarding next weekends Polo festival (which includes ParentFolk & Family at the Polo).
“We regret to inform members of the public that the White Oak UK Polo Series, due to take place at Chester Racecourse on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 June 2019, has been postponed. This postponement includes the ParentFolk and Family event on Saturday 22 June.
The adverse weather conditions over the past week have had a detrimental effect on both the playing surface and surrounding area on which the hospitality and family area infrastructure sit. Large amounts of standing water have collected over the past three days and drainage of the area in question is slow. The added variable of an uncertain weather forecast over the next week poses additional problems around infrastructure build, vehicle access, pitch access and public safety.
After careful consideration, the executive has made the decision to postpone the event until Friday 6 and Saturday 7 September.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Pre-purchased hospitality packages and ParentFolk and Family at the Polo (Saturday only) tickets will remain valid for the re-arranged dates. Purchasers also have the option to return their tickets/hospitality badges for a full refund if they so wish from Monday 17 June. Refunds will be processed from Monday 17 June. Please retain your ticket or badge and contact the Box Office on 01244 304 600 for further information.
Tickets and hospitality packages for the re-arranged September dates will be on sale from week commencing 17 June 2019. More information can be found at chester-races.com/polo ”
After months of work planning and preparing for ParentFolk & Family at the Polo with our friends at Chester Racecourse, we too share in the disappointment that the event has had to be postponed, however we would like to thank you in advance for your understanding, we would also like to thank our entire event line-up of pop-ups, sponsors and brand partners who have been overwhelmingly supportive and who have all moved to the new date of the 7th September.
