James Villa Holidays launches Halkidiki as new region
The UK’s leading villa specialist, James Villa Holidays is to offer guests even more choice in holiday destination, with the launch of a new region – Halkidiki, Greece. From September 2017, guests will be able to book a James Villas holiday in the stunning region of Halkidiki, which is easily accessed by Thessaloniki Airport and home to the second largest city in Greece. With historical and archaeological attractions, inviting sandy beaches and striking pine forests, Halkidiki’s mix of culture and natural beauty make it an ideal location for a Greek villa break. To launch in the region, James Villa Holidays will initially offer guests nine unique properties, all based on the charming Kassandra Peninsula, renowned for its breath-taking beaches and shimmering seas. The villas, which will expand James Villa Holidays’ portfolio of Greek properties to 374, will initially be based in Hanioti and Paliouri, both offering something different to suit a range of travellers. James Villas also hope to soon expand with two new villas to Nea Moudania, one of Greece’s largest fishing ports.
James Villa Holidays’ Head of Product, Rob Tipler, said: “Greece has been an evolving region for James over the past 14 years, and we’re always looking to expand into new destinations. Halkidiki is famed for its wondrous ancient Greek history and hosts some of the most beautiful sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters that Greece has to offer. It remains widely untouched by main stream tourism so offers our customers the perfect, peaceful holiday destination to both relax on the golden sandy beaches as well as explore its fantastic historical sites.”
James Villas will have four gorgeous properties situated within a friendly family run villa complex in Hanioti, a charming village with white sandy beaches and traditional tavernas. The boutique resort offers a selection of exclusive onsite facilities, including a gym, mini-spa with beauty treatments, indoor heated pool and sauna. The location of the villas offers plenty for every visitor; culture vultures will enjoy exploring the local area’s historical ruins and idyllic small chapel, and for those looking for action, there are a range of watersports available at the nearby beaches.
Villa Kassandra from James Villas’ Classic collection is one of the four properties available in Hanioti. Located on a small hillside, the villa has great views over the resort and across the sea, and allows guests to be near the hustle and bustle of Hanioti yet in a tranquil location. The property is modern and spacious, with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private swimming pool and free Wi-Fi.
James Villa Holidays will also offer guests five villas in Kappa Resort only kilometres from Paliouri. A charming village that’s tucked away at the foot of the Kassandra Peninsula, where old houses and 19th century buildings line the narrow streets. Guests wishing for a relaxing holiday will enjoy the nearby beaches, while those looking for an adventure can explore the village’s wooded surroundings and spend their days hiking, making the most of the island’s natural beauty.
The villas on offer in Paliouri include Electra Villa from James Villas’ Simply Collection and Iliachtis from the Classic Collection. Electra Villa’s heightened position in the resort offers views out across the bay to Sithonia in the distance. The villa has two bedrooms and bathrooms, free Wi-Fi and a private pool. Villa Iliachtis is a well-designed property, boasting a light, modern décor throughout and with a lovely open plan living area. The villa has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a private pool.
These new properties and destination add to James Villa Holidays’ already impressive collection of more than 2,800 villas across Europe, in a range of countries including Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia and Cyprus. The UK’s leading villa specialist also offers stunning properties in more far-flung destinations, including the US and Caribbean, with something to suit every type of discerning traveller.
