Manchester’s famous faces turn out for the launch of Winter Funland
The UK’s biggest indoor winter wonderland launched in style with a spectacular star-studded festive extravaganza for 1000 mini VIPs and Manchester’s most famous faces.
Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent and Kean Bryan joined Hollyoaks Sarah Jayne Dunn, football legend Fabrice Muamba, Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany and their families celebrated with 1000 mini VIPs at the launch party for Winter Funland.
Celebrity guests including Mani from the Stone Roses, Kieron Richardson and husband Carl, Jude Cisse, Chantelle Heskey and Ashley Taylor Dawson joined 1000 local children, nominated by local charities especially for the launch event at EventCity, next to the intu Trafford Centre.
The Manchester City team were out with their families, with Fabian Delph, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz at Winter Funland, all-encompassing festive extravaganza for all the family, bringing together a spectacular line-up of winter magic, entertainment and seasonal activities.
Guests were entertained in the stunning new 1000 seater auditorium, with live shows from CBBC star Andy Day with his fantastic Odd Socks band and a breath-taking festival circus.
They showed off their skills on the ice rink and braved the festive rides, before making their lists and calling in to see Santa in the must-see Winter Funland Grotto, complete with live reindeer.
The festive extravaganza opens its doors to the public today, December 7. The perfect place to make lasting festive memories for the whole family, it brings all age groups together with their loved ones, without it costing the earth. With one all-inclusive admission ticket and nothing extra to pay once inside tickets will include all of the rides, grotto, entertainment and ice skating – plus children under the age of three go free.

Running until New Year’s Day, there’ll be two sessions every day.
