MarBella Collection announce partnership made for adventure

It’s been announced that The MarBella Collection is to partner with London’s prestigious outdoor education provider The Exploration Society to create the MarBella Collection Adventure Club

Launching in Summer 2020 and available at MarBella Corfu resort and the latest property to the portfolio MarBella Elix, this exciting new partnership is set to transform the way children explore the natural beauty of Greece. Playing on the magic of Greek myths, the adventure club at MarBella Elix will be themed on the heroic tales of Greek gods, goddesses and legends. The new partnership will provide adventure through mythical creatures and deities along with an abundance of outdoor activities including orienteering, horse riding, treasure hunts and water park excursions – never before offered by the MarBella Collection.

Activities

The Exploration Society provides Outdoor Adventure to all ages, both in the UK and internationally.

The company also works with multiple prestigious London schools to expand their outdoor programmes, including the well-known Thomas’s Schools attended by Prince George.

MarBella Elix, opening in June 2020, is situated in an undiscovered region of Greece and is the brand’s first property outside the island of Corfu. The MarBella Elix Adventure Club will consist of a full five-day programme devised by The Exploration Society. This has been designed to maximise the property’s unique location in the heart of nature and surrounded by hidden bays and stunning mountains.

Inspired by the mythology and Greek history that encircles the new hotel, the new Adventure Club will be themed on the heroic tales of Greek gods, goddesses and legends.

Children will embark on the Poseidon Adventure, where they can kayak through caves and search forI treasure troves to recover Poseidon’s trident that has been wickedly kidnapped by the mischievous water nymphs. The Zeus Quest will send children marching to the nearby old Citidel, Elina, to search for treasure that was left behind 2,500 years ago when the previous inhabitants were forced to flee Zeus’ wrath. Inspired by Goddess of Hunt and the Wilderness, the Artemis Woodland Day will send children mountain biking in the beautiful nearby woodland where explorers will be taught various outdoor skills. Athena Day will see children getting creative with arts and crafts in the hotel’s own woodland site – led by the Goddess of Warfare, the young explorers will enjoy pottery, bread making, wood carving and games of combat archery. The week concludes with Hades’ Quest where the children will be taken to nearby the beautiful river Acheron to build and race model boats – and try to find lost coins to return to the nearby Temple of Hades.

The MarBella Elix Adventure Club is available for those aged 8 to 11 years old, Monday to Friday throughout July and August. The full 5 day programme costs from £54 / €60 per person per day.

Vassilis Dracopoulos, Owner of the MarBella Collection, comments: “We are delighted to be partnering with the Exploration Society this year. Our family friendly hotel, MarBella Corfu and brand new property MarBella Elix, lend themselves perfectly to adventure and expeditions. The ethos behind The Exploration Society fits perfectly with that of our brand and even my children vouch for their incredible offering, having experienced camping trips with Chris and his team. As a family-run business ourselves, we value new discoveries and new relationships and I am excited for our guests to have access to these special and unique holiday experiences that truly highlight the magic of Greece.”
