ParentFolk and The White Horse Pub at Chester Racecourse announce the first ParentFolk Weekender.

A re-invention of the classic weekender, the focus will be on a family-friendly atmosphere, with plenty on offer to entertain the kids and with a cool and relaxed vibe for parents.

The two-day event will take place on Saturday and Sunday June 24 – 25 at the award-winning White Horse Pub at Chester Racecourse, between 12noon and 7pm on both days.

Created with passion and imagination, the event will be a celebration of creativity, fun and adventure, showcasing hand-picked activities and entertainments.

There will be arts and crafts, pop up orchestra sessions for toddlers, kid’s yoga, soccer skills for sporty types, circus skills workshops and plenty of creative play from LittleFolk partner Square Pegs who’ll be running sundowner headdress-making sessions and T-shirt printing for fashion conscious kids. Add to this magical storytelling for little daydreamers, a pop-up toddlerfolk zone to keep little ones entertained, and we think you’ve got yourself a pretty darn fine family social event!

ParentFolk will be able to treat themselves in the Pop-ups-pop-up area, a retail space featuring cool independent brands such as Spencer’s Friends, Outside The Lines, Albie & Sebastian, Our Kid, Oh Me Oh Mama and Scamp & Dude to name but a few!

Sit back and enjoy amazing food and drink from The White Horse BBQ whilst the garden bar mocktails and cocktails will help you cool down in style. If you’re looking to enjoy a delicious sit down lunch indoors then tables will be available to pre-book ahead of the event.

Toddler Fun Learning, have been named as the brand partner for the event. A seriously fun family run business that spends all it’s time, energy and effort collaborating with creatives to lovingly craft wonderful video content for little ones. Highly successful their youtube channel has over 160,000 subscribers and their videos have been watched over 130 million times by their global audience since launching in 2013. They have recently announced that they will launch their own App this summer too.

The event is being curated by ParentFolk, the hip North West regional newspaper for those who are rocking parenting their own way. It is the first of four events over the next 12 months, each in an iconic location celebrating the best food, fun and lifestyle for the whole family.

ParentFolk founder Nicola Spindler says: “Weekenders used to be about hedonism and partying ‘til dawn. But now we’re the parents, there’s a need to reinvent the weekender, ParentFolk style.

“We figure if the LittleFolk are entertained you get to relax, so there’s going to be plenty of activities, entertainment and involvement for all ages to keep them engaged, creatively stimulated and occupied across the weekend.”
