‘What’s in a story?’- ParentFolk team up with Chester: A Life Story for creative family event.
There’s a new family experience on the scene and we’re excited that we’ve been invited to team up for a special summer holidays event.
Introducing Chester: A Life Story.

A cutting edge new Chester attraction that pushes the boundaries of engaging people with the past. Combining some incredible digital technology with historical archives and artefacts to present the story of Chester in a whole new light!
This a special experience that captures the minds and imaginations of families and we couldn’t be more excited to be teaming up with Chester: A Life Story for the ‘What’s in a Story?’ event on Friday 23rd August.
Visitors will be guided around this quirky experience by the talented team at Chester: A Life Story, making sure every area is uncovered, as stories are told and secrets discovered!
ParentFolk will be popping up with storytelling by Gav Cross bringing his terrible twisted tales, there’ll be the chance to get creative and make a mask of a Chester character from the past with Square Pegs, plus explore your creative writing talents as you tell your own story, designing your own ParentFolk front cover!

Dean Paton, director of big heritage, said: “We can’t wait to team up with ParentFolk this summer. The focus of this alternative family event is Storytelling, and who doesn’t love a good story? We’re excited for families to come and explore Chester: A Life Story immersing themselves in a fun and engaging event with lots of creative fun from the ParentFolk team. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to learn, sharing lots of knowledge from our own in house team too.”

Nic Spindler, Founder of ParentFolk added: “This is one cool venue and a great experience of kids and families. It’s exciting to explore stories of the past and for kids to understand that they are a part of a story too. We love the interactive and engaging nature of this family attraction and we know families who attend our family social events, and enjoy something different, will be sure to enjoy this very creative venue and event.”
